Dear xxxxxxx, (or should I say Beensley Sprout?)

I don't understand you, but that doesn't mean I love you any less. And understand me - I love you. Sooo much. I give you a hard time, but only because I'm trying to get a reaction out of you, to help me understand you better - I want to know what makes you tick, I feel like I more or less get everybody else in the family, but you elude me...it didn't used to be that way, though. I remember having so much fun playing plastic animals & such with you...and really, that's how I'll always remember you. No matter what, I will always love you! Unconditionally. If you ever have a problem you feel like you can't tell anybody else, I will help you. That's what big sisters are for - we make the pain go away. Don't hesitate to call on me to beat somebody up - you probably don't think I could, but I don't play by the rules. Anything for my baby sister (; In a way, you're kind of like the daughter I'll never have, so give me a chance, let me help you, let me in. I feel like we probably have a lot more in comon than you think. When you...well to quote that one song, "I wanna be there when you get stoned on a quiet (something) stormy afternoon..." And oh, by the way, I have mad respect for your musical taste...I don't like all of it, but I respect your choices.

Dearest xxxxxx,

I love you. So much. I know we've grown apart; our ideals differ drastically now, and we don't always approve of each other's choices. You wrote me a note at the beginning of last summer that really hurt - you'd turn me in to the police if you ever caught me doing something illegal - really? I guess you think it'd be for the best...because you always do things for the best. You're just that kind of person. And I love that about you, although that's not me. I want you to know that there's absolutely nothing you can do that will make me stop loving you. You've always been the big sister in our relationship, let's be honest. I wouldn't have it any other way, though. I admire you so much. Yes, I'm super jealous, but only because I respect you so much, and wish I was as capable as you. I don't remember a time without you, couldn't imagine a life without you. I had so much fun growing up with you, and I'm glad that you're such a nerd sometimes, it's refreshing. Who else could memorize capitals & countries with me? Or laugh about the pooping Dalmatian with me? I know you sometimes think I disregard our family...but trust me, that's not the case, I love our family so much, I'm starting to realize its importance more & more as I live without you all.

Dear xxxxx,

I love you. I know I don't always show it, and I'm sorry for my shortcomings as a daughter, and as a person...but I'm trying, I promise. I try so hard to make you happy. Recently I've tried to make myself happy too, and it's a difficult balance, sometimes, but I'll perfect it eventually...a little something I learned from you. I know I poke fun at you a lot, but you are really pretty amazing, and a good mother. You did an excellent job with what you were given. I don't know that much about the circumstances surrounding my conception and birth, but I can guess, and it impresses me. I hope, as I get older and hopefully move out & start my own life, that we will grow closer, like you and your mom. I can't tell you everything; please don't expect me to. You can't tell me everything either. Sometimes you speak of how I inspire you - well, you inspire me too. You went back to school (which was a lot harder than you let on), you work full-time now, you do sooo much for our family. We don't agree on everything, and we never will, but we don't ahve to, as long as we love each other, and I know you love me. You can't help it! haha (:
